Instead, both men and women are opting for highlights that add depth and dimension without looking artificial. This means hair looks more playful, lively, sexy, and, again, natural. ‘Dos that look like they took minutes instead of hours to prepare are what’s in style. As for length, going short is a big trend among everyone from Victoria Beckham to Katie Holmes.

The edgy bob is definitely still in style, and more and more stars are taking the plunge and cutting their hair. On the other end of the spectrum, some stars are battling the bob trend by showing off their very long, volumous locks. Ultimately, this year’s celebrities want to appeal to the public by sporting hairstyles that look like they could fit anyone. Don’t worry, though, stylists will still be happily employed all year. After all, for stars, looking natural still requires irons, dye jobs, and extensions; they’re just a little less noticeable.
